In the past few years, the Filipino population in New Brunswick has greatly increased, bringing more multicultural events that reflect our traditions, adding more colour to the Picture Province, and inviting curiosity about our culture. Filipinos of New Brunswick is a story piece for CBC that explores Filipino's personal experiences and relational philosophy of “Bayanihan” meaning community cooperation, showing how these traditions are practiced across the province. Underlining how cultural heritage is preserved and shared in a land far from our own, while emphasizing the intersections of Filipino and New Brunswick identities, building a bridge to connect cultures through photographs.
